Upper Deck recently announced their newest innovation The e-Pack!
At first, I thought it would be like most other manufacturer's and just be a digital card.
Upper Deck has taken this to a whole new level. You actually get the "hits" and can have them mailed or transferred to your checkoutmycards.com(COMC) account.
Being from the south where football is king I have never been exposed to much hockey but I had to try this out for myself.

Presently I have purchased several packs, and I must say, I'm impressed!
so far this is the major hits I have pulled.
To say I'm hooked would be an understatement!
One thing I really like about this concept is the ability to open a pack of cards anywhere, anytime.
Also, you receive one free pack each day that contains the base set. While these are not eligible to have shipped, you can collect ten cards of a player and exchange for a special foil version that can be shipped.
I know a lot of card shops may be concerned about losing business. My personal opinion is, this will only help their business. Nothing will ever replace having a pack or box in hand to open. Just as online box breaks, this is just another means to bring in new collectors. I know next time I visit my card shop, which is 50 miles away, I am more apt to purchase a few hockey packs where I probably would never have given it a thought before.
